E-911 Location Information Waiver

Triangle Communication, Inc. (“Triangle”) sends Enhanced 911 (E-911) location information to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) with 911 voice calls originated by our telephone service customers, as required by Federal law. Each directory telephone number (such as a number associated with a residential or business line, a Direct Inward Dialing (DID) number, or a Hosted PBX seat) must be associated with a unique and specific physical 911 address for E-911 services to operate properly.

E-911 location services have limitations when customers use specialized or unique Off Premise Extension (OPE) arrangements, Nomadic VoIP Services, SIP Call Forking, Device Twinning or other services that could result in the use of the voice service from an address that differs from the directory number’s registered 911 address.

As a customer utilizing one of these specialized services, I understand that if I use my Triangle telephone number from an address different than the previously registered 911 address, I must register the change of location with Triangle for the correct E-911 location information to be shared with the PSAP if I dial 911 from this number.

I understand that if I am using a bridged Off Premise Extension (OPE), SIP Call Forking or Device Twinning to support multiple phones in different locations, I must decide which of these locations is the “primary” location for the directory number and use this as the 911 location, and that phones in other locations sharing this directory number should not make 911 calls.
