Important Information Regarding Your Allocated Capital Credits
For cooperatives, the members are also the owners.
Your ownership in the cooperative is represented by capital credits. Members receive capital credit allocations based on usage (also known as patronage) of Triangle’s services each year.
The board is doing a general retirement for the year 2004 and has decided to also offer an allocated capital credit discounted offer.
The cooperative will offer each current member and former member who has an allocated amount during the discounted time period, the discounted present value (discounted amount) of the member’s allocated capital credits for the years 2005 to 2024.
Information about discounted capital credits will be included in a letter mailed in August to all current and former members with an allocated capital credit account. If you elect to participate in the discounted offer, please sign the form included with the letter and return it in the envelope provided with the letter, you can deliver it to Havre or the Big Timber office, fax it to 406-394-7815 or scan and email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Acceptance forms must be RECEIVED before September 30, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made for acceptance forms RECEIVED AFTER September 30, 2025.
If you choose not to participate in the discounted offer, you will NOT receive a retirement of your allocated capital credits for the specified years between 2005 and 2024. No further action will be required on your part and your allocated capital credit balance will remain unchanged. Members will still be eligible to receive future retirements of all allocated capital credits when approved by the board.
If you are participating in the discounted offer and are eligible for the 2004 general retirement you will receive one check that will include both amounts. If you are not participating in the discounting offer and you are eligible for the 2004 general retirement a check for that amount will be sent to you.
