Calling Features

Calling features allow you to get the most out of your home phone service. 
Call Acceptance

Create a list of 15 numbers you'll accept calls from.
Activate Code *64
Deactivate Code *64

To Set Up and Turn On or Off:

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *64. Listen for the prompts and then Press 3 to turn it on.
Call Forwarding

Forward incoming calls to another number.
Activate Code *72
Deactivate Code *73

To Turn On:

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *72
Call Rejection Anonymous

Reject calls from non-published numbers. This feature will not reject out of area or unknown numbers. 

To turn on:

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *77, listen for a confirmation tone.

To turn off:

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *87

Activate Code *77
Deactivate Code *87

Call Rejection

Create a list of 15 numbers you will not accept calls from. 
Activate code: *60
Deactivate code: *60

This feature does not work for cell phone numbers and toll free numbers.

To set up and turn on or off:

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *60. Listen for the prompts and then press 3 to turn it on. 
  • Press #, enter the first telephone number you wish to reject, then press # and repeat for other unacceptable callers (include area code if not a local number).
  • After entering up to 15 telephone numbers, hang up.
  • To turn off, lift the handset and listen for dial tone. Press *60. Listen for the prompts then press 3.

Other functions:

  • To hear a list of the telephone numbers on your list, press *60. Listen for prompts then press 1.
  • To remove a telephone number, press *60*, dial the number, then press *.
  • To add the last incoming telephone number to your list, press *60 then press #01#.
Call Trace

Activate code: *57

$5 charge assessed each time you use Call Trace.

  • Hang up after receiving an annoying call.
  • Immediately lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *57 (1157 for rotary or pulse phones).
  • Follow the voice prompt, listen for confirmation and hang up.
  • Contact Triangle Communications with the time and date of the call. Then contact your County Attorney for a written request to Triangle Communications for the call record information. 
Call Transfer

Transfer a call to another number.

  • While on a call, push the switch to hook or flash button to place the call on hold.
  • Listen for two beeps then a dial tone. 
  • Dial the phone number you wish to transfer the calls to.
  • Once the new call is answered, you can push the switch hook or flash button to talk to both parties (3-way-call) or hang up and the remaining parties will stay connected. 
Call Waiting

Be alerted when another call is coming in on your line. 

Deactivate code: *70

Long distance charges are charged to the phone number generating the long distance call.

  • When you are on a call and hear a short tone, quickly press and release the switch hook or flash button on your phone to place your current call on hold and connect with the new caller.
  • Press and release the switch hook or flash button to alternate between calls.
  • to end a call, hang up and wait for your telephone to ring and you'll be connected to the other caller.
  • To cancel Call Waiting before placing a call, press *70, when the dial tone returns, dial the telephone number. the feature will be restored after you hang up.
Continuous Redial

Program your phone to redial a number for 30 minutes or until it is no longer busy.

Activate code: *66

  • After calling a busy telephone number, hang up.
  • Lift the handset and lsiten for dial tone.
  • Press *66.
  • To turn the feature off before the 30 minutes has expired or the number is reached, press *86.
Last Call Return

Find out the date, time and number that called you. 

Activate code: *69

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *69. Prompts will inform you of the caller's telephone number and time and date of call (if available). You will also be asked if you wish to return the call. If so, press 1. If not, hang up.
Password Toll Restrict

Create a code to prevent unauthorized long distance calls on your line. 

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone. 
  • Press *97 and enter default personal identification number: 0000.
  • You will be prompted to enter a new four digit personal identification number. You will then be asked to enter the number again to confirm. 

To use:

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone. 
  • Dial the long distance number.
  • Before the call is compelte, you will be prompted o enter the 4-digit personal identifcation number. 
Priority Call

Create a list of 15 numbers that when they call you will her a distinctive ring or call waiting tone. 

Activate code: *61
Deactivate code: *61

  • Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  • Press *61. Press 3 to turn it on. 
  • Press # and enter the first telephone number you wish to have a unique ring, then press # and repeat for other priority callers (include area code if not a local number).
  • After entering up to 15 telephone numbers, hang up. 
  • To turn the feature off (to make all calls ring the same), press *651. Listen for the prompts then press 3. 

Other functions:

  • To hear a list of the telephone numbers on your list, press *61. Listen for the prompts then press 1.
  • To remove a telephoen number from your list, press *61*, dial the number, then press *
Telemarketer Call Screening

This service blocks telemarketers and learns who your friends are so their calls complete without interference.

If you'd like to enable this feature on your account please contact us. 

Telephone numbers of automated calls you wish to receive (schools, emergency services, etc.) will need to be added to the "known" list.

  • Dial *95 for the main menu.
  • Press 1 to add a number to the "blocked" list.
  • Press 2 to remove a number from the "blocked" list.
  • Press 3 to remove all numbers from the "blocked" list.
  • Press 4 to add a number to the "known" list.
  • Press 6 to turn the service on (enabled by default).
  • Press 7 to turn the service off.
  • Press 8 to block calls from private callers.
  • Press 9 to allow calls from private callers.
  • Press *96 to add last caller to the "blocked" list.
Voice Mail

Single Mailbox Setup. For one mailbox:

  • Dial *99 to access your Voice Mail service. Auto Login will tell you how many new messages and how many saved messages you have.
  • At the Main Menu prompt, Press 9 to setup your Voice Mail box.
  • At the Setup Menu prompt, Press 1 to change your greeting options.
  • Press 2 to record your greeting, then Press # when finished.
  • Hang up. Your Voice Mail greeting is now set up.

Change Your Mailbox Password

  • Dial *99 to access your Voice Mail service.
  • For a SINGLE mailbox, proceed to step 4. For a MULTIPLE mailbox enter your single-digit mailbox ID (1 - 2) and proceed to step 3.
  • Enter your 4-digit password, (default password is 0 0 0 0) and then Press #.
  • At the Main Menu prompt, Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
  • At the Setup Menu prompt, Press 2 to change your mailbox password.
  • Enter your new 4-digit password, then Press #.
  • Verify your new 4-digit password, then Press #.
  • Hang up. Your password has now been changed.

 Change Your Auto Login Settings
Auto Login allows messages to be played when your Voice Mail is accessed by dialing *99. Auto Login defaults to YES.

  • Dial *99 to access your Voice Mail service.
  • For a SINGLE mailbox, proceed to step 4. For a MULTIPLE mailbox enter your single digit mailbox ID (1 - 2) and proceed to step 3.
  • Enter your 4-digit password, then Press #.
  • At the Main Menu prompt, Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
  • At the Setup Menu prompt, Press 4 to go to the Auto Login menu.
  • An automated recording will tell you if Auto Login is enabled or disabled. Press 1 to disable or enable Auto Login.
  • Hang up. Your Auto Login setting has now been changed.

Multiple Mailbox Setup For Optional 2nd Mailbox: Group Greeting 
The Group Greeting is the main greeting for the entire Voice Mail service. Your Group Greeting should give the caller directions for leaving a message. A sample Group Greeting is “You have reached the Brown residence. Press one to leave a message for Jack. Press two to leave a message for Jill”.

  • Dial to access y *99 our Voice Mail service.
  • Listen to the recording explaining that you must record a greeting then Press 5.
  • Enter your 4-digit password (default password is 0 0 0 0) and then Press #. You may be prompted to select a new password. If so, follow the voice prompts.
  • At the Group Greeting Menu prompt Press 4 to record your group greeting, then Press #.
  • At the Group Greeting Menu prompt, Press 2 to save your group greeting.
  • Hang up. Your Group Greeting is now set up.

Multiple Mailbox Setup For Optional 2nd Mailbox: Sub-Mailbox Greeting
Sub-Mailboxes are individual mailboxes. A sample greeting for a sub-mailbox is ”You have reached Jack’s Voice Mail, please leave a message after the tone”

  • Dial *99 to access your Voice Mail service.
  • Enter your single-digit sub-mailbox ID (1 -2).
  • Enter your 4-digit password (default password is 0 0 0 0) and then Press #. You may be prompted to select a new password. If so, follow the voice prompts.
  • At the Main Menu prompt, Press 9 for the mailbox setup menu.
  • At the Setup Menu prompt, Press 1 for greeting options.
  • Press 2 to record your greeting, then Press #.
  • Hang up. Your sub-mailbox greeting is now set up.
  • Repeat the above steps for setting up each sub-mailbox.

 Check Your Messages From Another Location

  • Dial your phone number (include area code if necessary).
  • During the greeting, Press *.
  • Enter your Administrator 4-digit password, (default password is 0 0 0 0) and then Press #. You may be prompted to select a new password. If so, follow the voice prompts.
  • If you have a SINGLE mailbox, the recording will lead you through managing your messages. Simply hang up when you are finished. If you have MULTIPLE mailboxes, Press *. Proceed to step 5.
  • You will hear an announcement telling which submailboxes have messages. Enter the sub-mailbox ID (1-2).
  • Enter your sub-mailbox password, then Press #. The recording will lead you through managing your messages. You will need to hang up and re-access your Voice Mail to hear messages in the other sub-mailboxes.
